Title: |
Iterative solving of elliptic problems with small inclusions
|
Abstract: |
In this talk, we design preconditioning operators for the system of grid equations approximating elliptic boundary value problems with jumps in the coefficients in small subdomains. To approximate the problem, we use a quasiuniform triangulation which is characterized by some mesh size. The preconditioning operator is constructed by using two approaches: reduction of the original problem to some extended problem with the corresponding preconditioning operator and the domain decomposition method. Suggested method does not require to solve exactly subproblems in the subdomains. The convergence rate of the corresponding preconditioned iterative process is independent of the mesh size, diameters of subdomains, the jumps in the coefficients.
